I received an email from Leslie, a reader in New Mexico, who has been into detecting for a few months and is already privy to the reality that treasure just doesn’t jump out at you.
Leslie’s passion is metal detecting, but her husbands passion is making videos. Leslie was kind enough to share her husbands latest video, “Metal Detecting for Grandfather’s Gold”–A spoof on what we would all love to find out there in a perfect detectorist world.
Description:
“A metal detectorista is hired by a Grand Damme to find her grandfather’s gold. It takes research and following the clues to complete this mission. This video depicts a sensational story of the dreams of many metal detectorists. It is meant to be fun, not to be taken seriously. Finding a treasure by metal detecting is exciting. There must be a cache of gold out there for everyone!”
Check out the video here.
I thought the video was cute, showing what people think we find, or what we hope to find- not the reality.–Thanks Leslie!
Wow, I really enjoyed that. Extremely well done, very professional, and the scenery was spectacular. Loved the dog too….
How do we get a few of those TV producers to take notice? Lots of legendary treasures out there that could be used for story lines. Really!
I wish finding treasure was that easy! I’m sure the producers will catch up with it someday.
I think they should make a show where you tell me some BS story, and I follow the clues, but the clues lead me to a pub in England…
Well hell ya, I can do that!
